In 2005 the Marks and Spencer Turkey Regional Sourcing Office was set up with a team of 15 people. Since then the successful and continued growth in business has enabled us to grow to a team of 140 individuals responsible for sourcing all types of product for our Mens, Womens, Kids, Lingerie, Accessories and Homeware brands in 28 countries across Europe, Africa and the Middle East from our base in the World Trade Centre in Istanbul.
Our structure is made up of Merchandising (Clothing and Homeware), Technology (Quality, Fabric, Garment and Product), Social Compliance (Ethical Auditing) , Planning and Supply Chain teams, supported by Human Resources and Finance departments.
Our office is located in Yesilkoy-Istanbul.
We are looking for a FINANCE MANAGER for our Finance Department.
What do you have to do?
Reporting to Head of Finance;
To increase commercial and operational efficiency by delivering influential and insightful analysis, manage costs and control financial data accuracy.
•Provide insightful financial analysis to improve commercial decision making.
•Evaluate new business opportunities and offer financial expertise.
•Ensure that strong financial controls are in place across all areas of the Region.
•Understand the key sales, margin and profitability drivers and pro-actively undertake analysis to support driving profitable sales and controlling costs
•Influence the setting and delivery of stretching & achievable Operating Plan targets including the subsequent forecasting processes
•Up-skill commercial colleagues to improve levels of financial awareness and self sufficiency
•Meet agreed performance objectives and ways of working
What technical knowledge and business skills do you need?
•University graduate (e.g. Business Administration, Economics) in the related area
•Minimum 6-7 years experience in financial reporting, audit, accounting, budgeting, finance and other related departments
•Advanced level of Excel reporting skills and MS Office
•Experience with accounting and reporting systems (SAP Knowledge is a plus)
•Analytical thinking skills.
•Fluency in English both written and oral is a must.
•Strong management and communication skills.
•Ability to prioritize tasks and accomplish tasks on a timely manner
•Knowledge on import/export regulations is a plus.
